Augmenting Human Intellect
From VisionsOfComputingWiki
As Douglas Engelbart said it in 1962 [1]: By "augmenting human intellect" we mean increasing the capability of a man to approach a complex problem situation, to gain comprehension to suit his particular needs, and to derive solutions to problems. The more the human augments his intellect (by e.g. software or hardware tools) the more capable he is to approach further complex problems, which will then allow him to increase his capabilities even more.
